SMM Pre-Auction Marketplace

 

Marketplace is open!!  The SMM Marketplace is your place to donate and/or purchase event tickets, gift certificates and/or time shares that will expire prior to the school auction in March 2009.

 

Do you have or know someone that has event tickets, gift certificates or a timeshare that you cannot use? NOW they will not go to waste AND you will have the “Sold for” value applied towards your fundraising credit. You can donate any “time sensitive” items even if it is the day before!

 

We will continue using email as our main form of communication. Please make sure the school has your current address and check your emails often!  This program is intended to be a quick-turn around process!  It is conducted as a silent/blind bidding process.  You submit your bid with the amount you wish to pay (starting bid will be 40% of value) and the top bidder will receive the item.  Make sure to bid the highest dollar amount you would be willing to pay.  The deadline for bidding will be posted with each item and will vary depending on expiration.  In the event of a “tie” the two bidders will be contacted and given a chance to submit a tie breaking bid.  We will also have a "buy it now" option.  This eliminates the need to compete for an item by paying 150% of the value up front.  The first bidder to commit to the "buy it now" option will receive the item.

 

For Donors**:

Email Mary Norman at marketplace@stmarym.org with the following info:

1.      Gift Certificate/Event/Item Name

2.      Quantity of tickets (if applicable)

3.      Date and time of Event/Expiration date

4.      Total Fair Market Value

5.      Other pertinent info such as location of seats (section, row) or certificate restrictions, etc. –Include as much info as possible

6.      Your name and Telephone number

 

Upon confirmation that your item has been sold, bring your item and a completed procurement form to the school office.   Unless other arrangements have been made, please bring sold item to the School Office within 72 hours of event (if possible).   The “sold-for” value will be applied towards your fundraising obligation.

 

For Bidders**:

Email Mary Norman at marketplace@stmarym.org with the following info:

                  1.      Item you wish to bid on

2.      Amount you wish to bid (starting bid will begin at 40% of value) 

3.  We will not accept company matching for Marketplace items

 

Upon confirmation that you are the winning bidder, please bring in your payment to the School Office within 48 hrs. Payment must be received prior to the exchange of items. Please make checks payable to St. Mary Magdalen School.

 

*Please note that the receipt of your email from either donor and/or bidder constitutes as a binding agreement .*
